Spring Time Is Now Clog Time

Clogs. Whether you hate it or love it, you probably cannot avoid seeing them this season. Many high street brands have already produced their own version. By own version, I mean they have spawned their own imitation of the Chanel S/S 10 clogs.

For a (significant) fraction of the price, here are some alternatives - all sub $200.

Chanel, Free People

Jeffrey Campbell, Topshop

Not related to the above, but if you are looking for a pair of mules and you like Jeffrey Campbell's clinics (yes and yes for me), you will probably like this:

Chanel Fall 2010 Jewelry

I'm usually not big on jewelry, but after viewing Chanel's Fall 2010 runway show, I want to head out and start buying some jewelry. I'm liking all the hand accessories from the rings, to the clutches, to the ice cube mini bags, to the hand bracelets? Yes, hand bracelets is what I will call them from now on since I'm not really sure what the proper name for these are, but Chanel sure had a huge selection of them on the runway.

Other than the jewelry, I have to say that the collection was a bit on the cold side.

Indian Food on A Cold Night

Topshop coat, 579 faux velvet skirt, Nordstrom tights, Chanel shoes

This coat from Topshop is really the only thing that I got from my short trip in NY. Aside from hanging out with family and friends, discovering and rediscovering foods via 3 meals and 3 desserts a day, beating the huge crowds downtown, midtown, uptown- you name it, there was really not much time to actually make unquestionable purchases. John actually picked out and bought this coat for me all by himself. The coat's kimono sleeves and longer back side reminded him of his manga characters, which is probably one of the top reasons he made the purchase. Nevertheless, I am both happy and impressed that he chose it.

I wore the coat with the skirt I found earlier in my old clothing stash and these new Chanel shoes that I got for a great deal. I got these early last month and they are probably one of the best purchases I have ever made. I wore this outfit to one of my favorite restaurants in Houston, Kiran's. The spices in Indian food really warms you up on a chilly night!
