Thighs, Thighs, Thighs

I've always had a soft spot for anything thigh high (nothing hookerish, please). Socks, boots, leg warmers, etc etc etc. Although thigh highs are nothing new, they still tend to catch my attention. Here are some of my favorites from the Fall 2010 runway that I have seen so far.

Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang's version reminds me of my old dance days over 10 years ago. His slightly baggy, bell bottom-ish leg warmers make me want to rummage through my old dance clothes. Mom, I hope you did not give away my old leg warmers.

Proenza Schouler

Sheer, thigh high hosiery. Something you can get at your local drug store. Nothing new, right? Very true...except for the fact that the way Proenza Schouler pairs them makes it so feminine, chic, edgy, elegant. I can't quite describe it. Lovely.

Burberry Prorsum

Snake skin thigh high boots?Yes, yes, yes! Although it was the coats that were grabbing all the attention, my eyes were glued on the boots. I love snake print and I love thigh high anything. Thank you, Burberry. Too bad I can never afford you.

Oh yeah, and Burberry has a couple of those pretty cool jackets up for pre-order. Just sayin'.

Hit the Ice.

The Champion.

The Most Beautiful.

The Take Off Your Clothes and Give it to Me.

Who said men couldn't wear snakes around their necks, glitter and sequins, pink and black corsets, or a little velvet and mesh?

Give me some of that black, gold and red Daisuke.

Seems like many have a date with Alice.

Nicholas Kirkwood's creation is a prime example of too much being just right. It pretty much spells out Alice in Wonderland while having Kirkwood's signature touch.

Margiela. Just beautiful. This dress has that "enchanted" touch to it. I would totally wear this to my wedding if for 1. I could afford it 2. They decided to actually sell it 3. Wedding?.

Tom Binns's broken teacup necklace. What more can I say? Though I cannot and will not dish out 1K+ for this.

The beautiful shoes and dress you can read more about here. The article features the designers' thoughts behind their Alice in Wonderland "inspired" creations.
